Development (Phase II)

Phase 2 of the Comprehensive Leadership Program is leadership development.  Once the training is completed and the science behind the subject of leadership provided, further professional development and experience assist an individual in learning the art of leadership which is a component missing from most other leadership programs.

Leaders are not developed overnight and they are not developed from simply attending leadership training.  The training establishes the foundation of leadership, but it takes time, experience, and patience to become an artful leader.

The development phase of this three-part leadership program includes sitting down with each individual who attended the leadership training and developing individual goals.  Optimally, these goals are established at the beginning of the calendar year, reviewed quarterly, and can be used for the employee’s end of year performance evaluation.

Incorporated into this development phase are several sensing sessions to gauge the aspiring leader in asking questions, providing valuable feedback, and adjusting the individual’s leadership blueprint as may be necessary to maximize growth.

While the individual’s unique plan is confidential information, I would share the overall development of the employee with organizational leaders to provide them feedback on the development of their employees and pathways to assist with the growth of the employee.
